Privacy Policy
Pub Thursdays · Last updated: 24 April 2026
Pub Thursdays ("the app", "we", "us") is a private app for organising pub nights with friends. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. What we collect
- Account information — your display name and email address, provided when you register.
- Profile photo — if you choose to upload one. This is optional.
- Group activity — pub selections, ratings, card votes, and rotation data you create within the app.
- Device token — a unique identifier used to deliver push notifications to your device. This is collected automatically when you allow notifications.
- Location — used only when you search for nearby pubs while scheduling. We do not store your location.
2. Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account.
- To show your name and photo to members of your pub group.
- To send push notifications (e.g. when it is your turn to pick a pub, or when a card vote is cast).
- To display nearby pub suggestions when scheduling.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the app.
3. Who we share it with
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored on AWS servers in Mumbai, India. Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Apple APNs — Apple's push notification service. Your device token is transmitted to Apple to deliver notifications. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google Places API — used only to search for pubs near you. No personal data is sent to Google; only your search query and approximate location at the time of searching. Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Settings → Delete Account), all of the following is permanently deleted within seconds:
- Your email address and display name
- Your profile photo
- Your group memberships
- Your card votes
- Your device tokens
Pub selections and ratings you created may remain as part of the group's history, attributed only to a rotation position, not to your identity.
5. Your rights
You can at any time:
- Update your data — Settings → Edit Profile.
- Delete your account and all data — Settings → Delete Account.
- Request a copy of your data — email us at the address below.
6. Children
Pub Thursdays is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their country. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
7. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
